The platform combines data from leasing companies and connected vehicle devices to provide real-time visibility from vehicle production through to delivery and activation. It can identify where a vehicle is in the process and flag issues such as incorrect delivery locations, delays in vehicle preparation, missing documentation or vehicles being marked as operational before delivery is complete.

Improving visibility across the delivery chain

According to Targa Telematics, the solution is designed to address challenges created by increasingly complex delivery networks involving brokers, logistics providers and other third-party partners. The company says the system helps leasing firms move from manual, self-reported workflows to a more data-driven approach.

Future developments are expected to include predictive capabilities that forecast contract activations based on historical delivery-centre performance.
