GreenMobility tests Invers smoke and damage detection in EV car-sharing fleet

The Danish electric car-sharing leader has started a pilot project with the use of Invers technology to protect its assets. The company, which operates the largest car sharing fleet in Denmark, is testing Invers smoke and damage detection modules across its entire fleet.

GreenMobility has started a large scale pilot to test Invers solution for smoke and damage detection across its electric car sharing fleet

GreenMobility is going to start a pilot project to test across its entire fleet the smoke and damage detection technology from Invers. This marks one of the largest pilot projects of in-vehicle smoke and damage detection technology in European shared mobility to date. GreenMobility is starting the pilot project now in February 2026 with the objective to test the improvement of customer experience, enhance vehicle protection and automate incident handling.

GreenMobility’s smoke and damage detection based on Invers solutions not only discourages unwanted in-car behavior, such as smoking, but also speeds up the whole damage detection process, all while maintaining a seamless digital customer experience. “GreenMobility is a frontrunner in electric car sharing. Consistent vehicle quality and smart automation are critical to our business scaling profitably,” says Kasper Gjedsted, GreenMobility’s CEO. “With this new pilot project, we test the Invers ecosystem on a large scale.” The Invers solution uses advanced sensor technology to detect smoking events in the vehicle interior and AI-supported sensors to detect and document new damage. These solutions enable operators to identify misuse and incidents in near real time, trigger internal workflows, and charge responsible users when appropriate. “We hope that the technology will help us protect our cars, respond faster to incidents, and keep vehicles clean and safe for the next user, all with minimal operational overhead. That is why we decided to test it across the fleet”, add Kasper Gjedsted.

GreenMobility will be performing the installation in a plug and play approach with an average of 50 vehicles per day, with technical support by Invers and their local partner where needed. “By combining our asset protection solutions with GreenMobility’s fully electric fleet and flexible rental model, GreenMobility aims to set a new standard for vehicle quality and operational efficiency in car sharing, supporting Denmark’s broader objective of promoting sustainable, shared mobility,” says Bharath Devanathan, Chief Business Officer at Invers.
